4.5.06 - Rep. Rhodes Calls For His Opponent To Sign The NO TAX Pledge

North Mecklenburg, NC. - Representative John Rhodes called upon his opponent to sign the NO TAX pledge.

Rhodes issued the following statement:

"I have a perfect record (100%) voting against every tax and spending increase this state tries to ram down our throats. My record is clear on this and every other important issue. My opponent has no record so I am asking him now, as the conservative he claims to be, to immediately sign the NO TAX pledge.

"This will guarantee he would follow my lead if elected and vote down every proposed new tax increase or fee increase. There is no wiggle room on this issue. Either my opponent, Mr. 'beads and trinkets', is prepared to draw a line in the sand and stick to it, or he has no business trying to serve the best interests of this district.

"The overburdened taxpayers and families of my district await your response Thom. Will you sign the NO TAX pledge?"

Republican primary voters may vote on May 2nd, 2006 at their local precinct for Representative John W. Rhodes.
