4.5.06 - Rep. John Rhodes Receives National Endorsement

North Mecklenburg, NC. - Today, U.S. Congresswoman Sue Myrick gave John Rhodes her endorsement, issuing the following statement:

"Rep. John Rhodes is working hard and is doing a great job in the North Carolina legislature. We need him there to keep up the good work for us."

Rhodes thanked Congresswoman Myrick in the following statement:

"It has been a pleasure to meet with and work with Congresswoman Myrick during the course of my terms in the North Carolina House. As evidenced yesterday, with Congressional approval of her ground breaking Scott Gardner amendment regarding the deportation of illegal immigrants found guilty of DUI driving in our nation, she has begun the process of making our roads safer for everyone.

"Sue Myrick's efforts are applauded and appreciated by every decent American. We all love our families and express shock and outrage that this amendment and its impact have not been felt sooner. We must eject those illegals who violate our laws and threaten our very lives.

"I sincerely thank U.S. Congresswoman Sue Myrick for her endorsement, her 9-point immigration plan and the encouragement from her I have received to date. I wish her all the best in her efforts to make our country safer. I look forward to serving not only my constituents in the 98th district but also all Americans living in our great state."

Republican primary voters may vote on May 2nd, 2006 at their local precinct for Representative John W. Rhodes.
